I have been in practice for over 27 years and provide Psychotherapy, Consultations, Assessments, and Treatment in the areas of Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Relationship Issues, Sexual Dysfunction, Trauma, and Self-Esteem/Growth. I am a Graduate of Simmons School of Social Work and worked for over 5 years at Psychiatric Hospitals throughout New England.
The most prevalent emotion that is generally expressed by patients is the fear of change. Going into unfamiliar or unknown territory can be stress inducing. However, patients become aware that staying in the same place mentally is not providing the happiness and contentment they long to have in their lives.
They often want to make a sincere commitment in changing their lives, in learning to manage and control their emotions, acquiring new coping skills, and increasing self-confidence. I have the training and dedication to help them reach these goals.
